The Taumutu and Te Tiriti workshop builds on the knowledge gained in the previous workshop so we suggest our members sign up for this after they have completed the other course. The workshop covers the history of the Treaty of Waitangi and the impacts on the local people and you will leave with a much more comprehensive understanding of pre and post treaty context.

It will be an opportunity to learn about the role of mana whenua in today’s society. The wokshop looks at the cultural and traditional practices of Ngāi Te Ruahikihiki ki taumutu and the history of the Selwyn district.
