In the middle of a lowland paddock, a series of three springs emerge from the ground, creating the head waters of the Taumutu Creek.
This project sees the springs fenced out and the waterway planted on both sides with native species that filter runoff, shade the water to reduce weed growth, improve wildlife habitat and increase biodiversity and mahinga kai values.
Keystone Ecology are planting and maintaining this site.
