Workshop addresses new regulations around GHG emissions
The Tinaku team recently hosted a workshop on greenhouse gas (GHG) emission on farm to bring our members up to speed on upcoming changes in regulations.
Two dozen farmers attended the workshop to hear from Keith Woodford Professor of Agri-food systems at Lincoln University who talked through the implications of climate change and the new regulations on the New Zealand agricultural sector.
Dave Harrison, Policy and Advocacy Manager at B+LNZ spoke via a Zoom link about the intricacies of the He Waka Eke Noa system.
Finally, Sarah O’Connell, also from B+LNZ gave practical advice on responding to climate change and planning for the future.
